The school is asking parents to complete the following TWO surveys. The first survey involves questions about our Local Control and Accountability Plan, and will help us determine how we budget our funds.
The second survey will ask parents about their interest in sending their students to Howell Mountain School versus St. Helena Schools.
Please click on the links below and complete the surveys.
Thank you for your participation and helping us make these important decisions.
Howell Mountain School is having a Rummage Sale!
Starting on Friday, May 15th at 3:00 p.m., the Multi-Use Room will house donated treasures from across Angwin and beyond! Although we close at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, there are two more chances to visit us and support the school!
We will be open on Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
What's even better than a Rummage Sale that supports the classes at Howell Mountain School? How about the fact that we accept Mastercard and Visa? That's right! No need to bring cash as we will be happy to accept your plastic!
Also in Angwin that weekend is the Annual Flea Market held at the College Market Complex. For one day only, May 17, 2015, and hosted by the Angwin Volunteer Fire Department!
Sell your stuff or browse for deals while hanging out with the community and your local EMS. Helicopters, fire engines, food and more will be on available and on display throughout the day. The Flea Market will raise money and awareness for the local fire department.
Please be sure to support all of the community efforts that weekend!

It is never too early to begin work on this important event! We ask that all parents dedicate some of their time to help us have another successful Auction, and keep everyone's workload light.

Parent/Teacher Conferences are coming up in February! On February 4th and 5th, Howell Mountain School will conduct it's second set of conferences to discuss student issues with parents.
Unlike the first Parent Conferences in October, these conferences target specific student needs. Therefore, not everyone is contacted for a conference at this time.
If you are selected for a parent conference, you will receive a communication from the school outlining the process with the time and date.
If you are not selected, you may still request a conference with your child's teacher if you have concerns you would like to discuss. This can be done via email or through the school office.
Of concern to all parents is the release times for these two days. On the 4th and the 5th, the regular school day will end at 12:05 p.m. After School Programs will be available from the time school is out until 6:00 p.m.
Please feel free to contact the school office if you have any questions or concerns.
